The Anchorage Economic Development Corporation is a private, non-profit corporation formed to encourage growth and diversity in the Anchorage economy. The AEDC is charged with being a catalyst for "diversified economic development." Funding sources for the corporation are municipal grants, state grants and private sector contributions.
Idaho
The Caldwell Economic
Development Council is a non-profit organization formed to promote a sound
business environment, low cost of doing business, and high standard of living
with the City of Caldwell, Idaho and its neighboring communities within Canyon
County. The CEDC is funded by public and private investors and partners with
multiple organizations to provide resources to existing, relocating, and new
businesses. Our mission is to bring economic growth to the region by creating
diverse, sustainable jobs and providing a strong financial basis for our
communities.
The Eastern Idaho
Economic Development Council (EIEDC) is a private, non-profit economic
development corporation organized to provide a professionally-managed community
and economic development program for eastern Idaho. The Council is an investor
organization supported by nearly 300 public and private partners with a shared
vision of the future of the region. Management of the organization is provided
by a staff of seasoned professionals with extensive experience in community and
economic development, development finance, and business management.

Oregon
Located in Oregon's Willamette River Valley, Eugene is Oregon's second
largest city and home to four colleges and universities, including the
University of Oregon.
The Portland
Development Commission (PDC) is a city agency that implements many of the
Portland's economic development goals including those concerned with housing
programs, redevelopment initiatives, and resident access to quality jobs.
A non-profit organization serving the Salem metropolitan area, the Salem Economic Development
Corporation (SEDCOR) promotes economic development activities in Oregon.
SEDCOR focuses on assisting manufacturing companies, recruiting new industrial
companies, and promoting planned responsible growth and industrial development
in the region.
The Southern Oregon
Regional Economic Development Council focuses on bringing small- and
medium-sized software companies to the region. The Council has developed special
programs designed to benefit software companies.

Washington
The Bellingham Whatcom Economic
Development Council (EDC) is a non-profit association of public and private
entities organized to provide economic development leadership and programs to
sustain and enhance the economic vitality of Whatcom County.
The Economic Development
Council of Seattle and King County provides services and publications to
companies relocating or expanding in King County and hosts events discussing
cutting edge economic development issues.
The The
Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Section of the King County Department of
Transportation has been working on bus-related TOD joint-development projects
since it was created in 1998. King County projects are under way in the cities
of Redmond, Renton, Seattle, and Shoreline. The county is investigating TOD
feasibility in Kent and Auburn.
The Tacoma Pierce County Economic Development Board is a private,
non-profit corporation, established in 1978 as a partnership between private
business and the public sector to encourage economic development in
Tacoma-Pierce County. The EDB's mission is to increase the quality and number of
jobs as well as capital investment within the county.
