Where and when is the Spring Conference this year?
The 2011 Understanding Tomorrow’s Industries Today Conference will be held in Indianapolis, IN at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis, June 5-7. The Hyatt Regency Indianapolis is located at One South Capitol Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
What is the attire for the conference?
Attire for conference sessions is business or business casual. Please note that temperatures in conference session rooms may vary, and we therefore advise bringing a sweater or jacket depending on your preference
What is the weather usually like in June?
June temperatures in Indianapolis range from the low 80’s to high 50’s with an average of 70 degrees Fahrenheit.

What does my registration fee include?
Full conference registration includes all concurrent and plenary sessions, Sunday through Tuesday. It also includes the Networking Reception on Sunday; Continental Breakfasts and Breaks Monday through Tuesday; and the Keynote Luncheon on Monday. It does not include tours or special events with fees.
How does the Spouse/Guest registration fee work?
You may register your Spouse/Guest for the Segway Tour, Keynote Luncheon and/or the Networking Reception. IEDC does not have a specific spouse/guest program covering multiple events for this conference.
Can I pay for registration by purchase order?
Yes, you must download the registration form (PDF) and fax or mail it to IEDC, accompanied by payment.
I am a presenter. Do I need to register?
IEDC looks to its members and contacts who will be attending the conference to serve as presenters, and unfortunately IEDC does not have the budget to off-set registration fees. The IEDC’s 2011 Understanding Tomorrow’s Industries Today Conference is not only a valuable venue to present your ideas; it is also a wonderful source for new ideas and contacts.

How can I add additional events (or add a guest) to my registration?
Download the Check / PO Registration Form (PDF), complete it accordingly, include the credit card information and fax it to Earnestine Jones attention, (202) 223-4745. If paying by check, make check payable to IEDC and mail check and the registration to IEDC, 734 15th St. NW, Suite 900, Washington, DC 20005 or to IEDC, PO Box 759219, Baltimore, MD 21275-9219.
What is the cancellation policy?
All registered attendees cancelling their registration, will be charged a $95 processing fee, regardless of when the cancellation notice was received.
Cancellations by phone are not accepted.
Cancellations must be received in writing by mail, fax or email to Earnestine Jones, (202) 223-4745 or ejones@iedconline.org.
Cancellations received in writing on or before May 27, 2011 will be refunded or credited to a future IEDC Conference (less a $95 processing fee). These transactions will be processed after the conference.
There will be no refunds or credits for cancellations received after May 27, 2011.
A registered attendee, who does not submit a written cancellation or attend the conference is considered a No-Show and is not eligible for a refund or credit.
A registered attendee, who does not submit a written cancellation or attend the conference, is still liable for any outstanding balances.

When will I receive confirmation of my registration?
Confirmation letters will be sent between February and June.
Where is onsite registration located?
Registration will take place in the Cosmopolitan Foyer. The Cosmopolitan Foyer is located on the third level of the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis.
What are the hours of onsite registration?
Sunday, June 5 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Monday, June 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday, June 7 from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Housing and Travel
Do you have a headquarters hotel?
The Hyatt Regency Indianapolis is the headquarters hotel. IEDC has reserved a block of rooms at the rate of $149 single/double.
What is the deadline for making hotel reservations?
Wednesday, May 11, 2011. However, to ensure that you get into the hotel of your choice it is recommended that you make your reservation as early as possible.
Can I make my hotel reservations first or do I need to register for the meeting in order to make reservations?
We encourage all attendees to register for the meeting first, then make hotel accommodations.
Is shuttle service provided from the airport?
Carey Indiana Limousine Airport Service provides shared ride service from the Indianapolis International Airport (IND). The shuttle desk is located at the Ground Transportation Center across from Baggage Claim. Reservations are recommended.

A taxi to/from airport will cost approximately $35 one way.

Head northwest on Col. H. Weir Cook Memorial Drive 1.9 miles
Slight left onto the ramp to I-70 E 0.1 miles
Keep left at the fork to continue toward I-70 E 0.5 miles
Keep right at the fork to continue toward I-70 E 1.5 miles
Keep left at the fork, follow signs for I-70 E/I-465 N/ 8.3 miles
I-74 W/Indianapolis and merge onto I-70E
Take exit 79B to merge onto S Illinois St 1.2 miles
Turn left at W Washington St 0.1 miles
Take the 1st left onto S Capitol Ave 318 ft
Is there parking available at The Hyatt Regency Indianapolis?
Yes, valet parking is $28 per day. Self parking is $22 per day.
