General

Where and when is the Leadership Summit this year?
The 2012 Leadership Summit will be held in San Antonio, TX at the Hyatt Regency San Antonio, January 29-31. The Hyatt Regency San Antonio is located at 123 Losoya, San Antonio, TX 78205.


What is the attire for the conference?
Attire for conference sessions is business or business casual. Please note that temperatures in conference session rooms may vary, and we therefore advise bringing a sweater or jacket depending on your preference


What is the weather usually like in January?
January temperatures in San Antonio range from the mid 40's to high 60's with an average of 50 degrees Fahrenheit.

What does my registration fee include?
Full conference registration includes all concurrent and plenary sessions, Sunday through Tuesday. It also includes the Networking Reception on Sunday; Continental Breakfasts and Breaks Monday through Tuesday; and the Keynote Luncheon on Monday. It does not include tours or special events with fees.


Can I pay for registration by purchase order?
Yes, you must download the registration form and fax or mail it to IEDC, accompanied by payment.


I am a presenter. Do I need to register?
IEDC looks to its members and contacts who will be attending the conference to serve as presenters, and unfortunately IEDC does not have the budget to off-set registration fees. The IEDC's 2012 Leadership Summit is not only a valuable venue to present your ideas; it is also a wonderful source for new ideas and contacts.

How can I add additional events (or add a guest) to my registration?
Download the Check / PO Registration Form (PDF), complete it accordingly, include the credit card information and fax it to Earnestine Jones attention, (202) 223-4745. If paying by check, make check payable to IEDC and mail check and the registration to IEDC, 734 15th St. NW, Suite 900, Washington, DC 20005 or to IEDC, PO Box 759219, Baltimore, MD 21275-9219.


What is the cancellation policy?
• All registered attendees cancelling their registration, will be charged a $95 processing fee, regardless of when the cancellation notice was received.
• Cancellations by phone are not accepted.
• Cancellations must be received in writing by mail, fax or email to Earnestine Jones, (202) 223-4745 or ejones@iedconline.org.
• Cancellations received in writing on or before January 13, 2011 will be refunded or credited to a future IEDC Conference (less a $95 processing fee). These transactions will be processed after the conference.
• There will be no refunds or credits for cancellations received after January 13, 2011.
• A registered attendee, who does not submit a written cancellation or attend the conference is considered a No-Show and is not eligible for a refund or credit.
• A registered attendee, who does not submit a written cancellation or attend the conference, is still liable for any outstanding balances.

When will I receive confirmation of my registration?
Confirmation letters will be sent between October and January.


Where is onsite registration located?
Registration will take place in the Regency Center Foyer. The Regency Center Foyer is located on the Ballroom Level of the Hyatt Regency San Antonio.


What are the hours of onsite registration?
• Sunday, January 29 from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm
• Monday, January 30 from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm
• Tuesday, January 31 from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm

 

Housing and Travel

Do you have a headquarters hotel?
The Hyatt Regency San Antonio is the headquarters hotel. IEDC has reserved a block of rooms at the rate of $209 single/double.


What is the deadline for making hotel reservations?
Wednesday, January 4, 2012. However, to ensure that you get into the hotel of your choice it is recommended that you make your reservation as early as possible.


Can I make my hotel reservations first or do I need to register for the meeting in order to make reservations?
We encourage all attendees to register for the meeting first, then make hotel accommodations.


Is shuttle service provided from the airport?
SATRANS, San Antonio's official airport shuttle provides shared ride service from the San Antonio International Airport (SAT). Shuttle stations are located in each terminal of the airport. Reservations are not necessary for arrival, but are needed for your return trip.

How much is taxi fare from the airport to The Westin San Diego?
A taxi to/from airport will cost approximately $24 one way.


Are there driving directions?
Directions from the San Antonio International Airport:

Take 281 S. which will turn into I-37 S. near the downtown area. Follow I-37 S. and exit Houston Street. Turn right on Houston. Proceed 5 blocks to Broadway. Turn left on Broadway and continue down 3 blocks. Hotel is on the right. (Broadway changes names to Losoya Street).


Is there parking available at The Grand Hyatt San Antonio?
Yes, valet parking is $33 per day. Self parking is $25 per day.
