Information to Keep You Informed and Engaged

IEDC produces various documents and reports throughout the year that detail key economic development policy issues. Members can access them below.

2016 Federal Review
Each spring, IEDC examines notable federal events and legislation in economic development over from the previous year, reviews appropriations for a number of key federal programs, and previews the budget for the upcoming fiscal year. The Federal Review is the authority on economic development policy

The Federal Agenda
IEDC releases The Federal Agenda, produced by a joint effort of the Public Policy Advisory Committee (PPAC) to educate incoming Members of Congress and Administrations on the important policy matters of interest to economic developers. The Federal Agenda highlights policy matters and suggests needed action that will help our members grow their economies.

The Guiding Principles
In cooperation with PPAC, IEDC produces a quick reference resource for policy makers that highlight the current top economic development issues with federal implications. The Principles are an excellent resource to carry with you on fly-ins or even when meeting with local and state officials, as many of the issues highlighted have state and local implications, in addition to their federal implications.

The Federal Directory
IEDC annually produces a director of key federal officials, Members of Congress, and Congressional staffers whose work impacts economic development policy and programs. The Federal Directory is a vital resource that helps you connect with policymakers and program managers in Washington.

The Federal Alert
IEDC keeps members informed of the latest happenings in Washington through alert messages on key legislation and federal news. In a minute-by-minute town like Washington, The Federal Alert utilizes email blasts in conjunction with the IEDC Public Policy blog and IEDC's EDNow blog to inform members of about developing policy issues happening right now.
