Melissa Nebelsick Scholarship for Women
Melissa Nebelsick, CEcD (1950 – 2016) was a vibrant and caring member of the economic development community who mentored many women in the field and was a role model of professionalism and critical thinking. In honor of her life’s work, Melissa’s friends and colleagues established a scholarship in her memory that seeks to provide women with educational and training opportunities in the field she cared so deeply for.
As a testament to Melissa’s impact on her colleagues and clients, one donor towards the scholarship fund made this statement about her:
“Our contribution is in honor of the years of technical expertise, guidance, and friendship that Melissa provided to us.”
