Role Description
The Research Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Las Vegas, NV. This position is responsible for conducting quantitative and qualitative research on regional, national, and global economic trends, industries, and labor markets to inform LVGEA's business attraction and expansion strategies. Day-to-day tasks include collecting and analyzing data from public and proprietary sources, preparing reports, dashboards, and presentations, and translating findings into clear insights for internal teams, leadership, and external partners. This position serves as one of LVGEA's primary support roles for regional economic intelligence, providing data-driven analysis that informs organizational strategy, public policy positions, business attraction, investor communications, and regional decision-making. The Research Analyst develops and maintains economic indicators, analyzes emerging trends, evaluates policy impacts, and produces recurring reports that demonstrate the economic value of LVGEA's work to municipal partners, investors, and stakeholders. Working in support of the Senior Director of Business Intelligence, this role helps position LVGEA as the trusted source for economic intelligence in Southern Nevada.

Responsibilities
Monitor, analyze, and interpret regional, national, and global economic trends to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging issues affecting Southern Nevada's economy and competitiveness.

Respond to requests for data research and analysis from internal teams, member companies, site selectors, and community partners, including RFI support.

Identify, extract, and analyze data from federal, state, and proprietary sources (e.g., BLS, BEA, Census, GIS, Lightcast) to develop target industry profiles, market intelligence, and company research supporting business attraction, retention, and foreign direct investment initiatives.

Develop reports, dashboards, executive presentations, and data visualizations that communicate complex economic information and regional performance in a clear, actionable manner.

Track, analyze, and refine strategic plan metrics while collaborating with leadership to maintain benchmarks, key performance indicators, scorecards, dashboards, and other organizational performance measures.

Assist in producing and maintaining monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal tracking and Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED) requirements.

Design and administer surveys and other data collection instruments; collect and analyze data; and prepare narrative and statistical reports.

Maintain research datasets, business intelligence resources, and reporting databases to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of organizational data.

Produce annual economic impact reports for each municipal funding partner demonstrating the outcomes, investments, projects, jobs, capital investment, and economic value generated through LVGEA's activities within their jurisdiction.

Monitor corporate expansions, site selection activity, investment announcements, public policy developments, infrastructure projects, demographic shifts, labor market trends, and competitive market activity to identify strategic implications and opportunities for Southern Nevada.

Utilize business intelligence platforms, GIS, AI-enabled research tools, and data visualization software to improve research efficiency, reporting, and decision-making. Maintain and regularly update economic data, charts, maps, dashboards, and statistical content published on the LVGEA website, ensuring information remains accurate, timely, and relevant.

Support the Senior Director of Business Intelligence in presenting research findings, developing training materials, and promoting data literacy across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Public Policy, Urban Planning, Business, Statistics, or a related field (required).

Professional Experience:
2-4 years of relevant experience in research, data analysis, or economic development.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, is required; experience with a CRM system is preferred.
Experience working in an economic development organization or entrepreneurial environment a plus.

We are now seeking a passionate, experienced, and collaborative Program Officer to help advance our Environment Program, which aims to conserve and sustain terrestrial, freshwater, and marine ecosystems for the benefit of current and future generations. The Program Officer, Environment, will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing grantmaking portfolios within the Environment domain, initially focused on the Asia-Pacific region. Working closely with the Program Director, Managing Program Director, fellow Program Officers, Program Associates, and cross-functional colleagues, the Program Officer will play a key role in building, managing, and evaluating an effective grantmaking program that advances MACP's mission.

Position Summary
GLC is seeking a strategic, collaborative and results-driven Vice President of Economic Development. This senior leadership role is responsible for creating and executing GLC's economic development strategy and advancing business attraction, expansion and retention efforts across Lafayette, West Lafayette and Tippecanoe County.

Reporting directly to the president and CEO, the Vice President of Economic Development serves as a respected deal leader for company attraction and expansion - representing Greater Lafayette in competitive site selection processes and leading high-stakes conversations and building credibility with site selectors, corporate decision-makers, public-sector partners. This role is central to advancing GLC's mission to promote economic prosperity and a superior quality of life through new investment, job creation, and the long-term business growth and success of existing employers.

This role will act as a connector and catalyst, aligning local assets with market opportunities and executing strategies that position Greater Lafayette as a competitive, credible and execution-ready location for growth. While informed by long-term vision and strategy, this role is intentionally focused on implementation and results, owning the attraction pipeline for GLC, driving business retention and expansion efforts, advancing site selection efforts, and overseeing local tax incentives and abatements (in collaboration with the cities).

The Role
Lead and own business attraction, expansion and retention strategy for GLC.
Serve as the primary point of contact and closer for active attraction projects for which GLC is participating.
Build, manage and track a strong, robust pipeline of prospective companies and investments.
Coordinate prospective business visits and tours to Greater Lafayette.
Work with the Business Retention and Expansion Director to compile local and state incentive proposals.
Oversee execution of RFIs, proposals and presentations with speed, accuracy, and strategic clarity.
Coordinate with local government, state and utility partners to assemble competitive, executable project solutions.
In partnership with the Workforce Development Director, collaborate with universities, workforce institutions and councils, and supply chain partners to strengthen deal competitiveness.
Cultivate high-value relationships with local and state leadership, industry and university partners, site selectors, commercial real estate brokers, and prospective domestic and international companies to strengthen Greater Lafayette's competitive position.
Maintain deep working knowledge of:
Available site and building inventory in Greater Lafayette
