Lindsey Kimball, MBA, CEcD, EDFP joined the Hillsborough County, FL (Tampa) team in 2012 as Economic Development Director. Serving a community of more than 1.4 million, she oversees strategic and operational aspects of Targeted Industry Development, Entrepreneurial Services, Minority Business Development, Redevelopment, Competitive Sites, Agribusiness, Business Intelligence, Tourism Development and Cultural Assets. Her leadership drives an award-winning team of 25 professionals with a department budget of nearly $9 million and more than $165 million in contracts under management. She is a recognized expert and brings to the table more than 18 years of experience in a diverse range of economic development activities and organizations, always with a keen perception of market trends, best practices and the best outcome for the community. Developing new, innovative programs and, more importantly – implementing them – is a strong suite for Ms. Kimball who embraces a progressive, holistic approach to her profession.

A skilled negotiator, Ms. Kimball's deal-making efforts throughout her career have resulted in projects announcing nearly 26,000 jobs and more than $1.7 billion in capital investment. She has held senior leadership positions with the Jacksonville Economic Development Commission (Florida), Tampa-Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation, Tampa Bay Partnership and Infinity Global Solutions, an economic and community development consulting firm. She also held staff level positions with the City of St. Petersburg, FL and the Downtown Denver Partnership at the start of her career.
