3:00 pm - 4:30 pm EST
It has been one year since America’s long overdue awakening to structural racism. What is the role of the economic developer in dismantling racism and furthering equity? This webinar will start exploring these questions through two case studies in diverse American cities, and discuss areas in which economic developers can tackle systemic disparities. During this webinar, we will also report on the state of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusivity (DEI) in Economic Development with the results of a survey IEDC conducted, and introduce IEDC’s Equitable Economic Development Playbook Initiative. This webinar will be the first of our bi-monthly webinars focused on advancing equity in economic development.
This webinar series is part of IEDC’s Equitable Economic Development Playbook Initiative, supported by The Rockefeller Foundation.
