The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) is proud to announce the inaugural cohort of Entrepreneurship Development Professional (EDP) credential recipients. By achieving this credential, candidates demonstrated to their peers and community leaders that they have the skills and expertise to elevate and advance their community through entrepreneurship-led economic development. 

The Nominating Committee of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) has announced the roster of Economic Develop leaders that will serve on the organization's Governance Committee in 2022.  IEDC Announces New Leadership at its 2021 Annual Conference in Nashville, TN. All nominated Board members will begin their terms on January 1, 2022.

The International Economic Development Council (IEDC) today named Nathan Ohle, a recognized expert in economic development and a leader of public, private and nonprofit organizations, as its new President & CEO beginning early next year.

EDRP's upcoming report, titled "Getting Connected: How Economic Developers are Expanding Broadband Access," will offer professionals a crash course on understanding broadband issues, explore why access to affordable, reliable broadband is critical to community competitiveness, and present a range of solutions that communities are pursuing. A policy and development hot topic, broadband access affects everything from business and worker retention to home values to farming output. However, millions of Americans lack reliable and affordable internet, if not access altogether.
