IEDC stands against systematic and institutionalized racism that has existed for generations. As the largest membership organization that represents more than 5,000 members in the field of economic development, it is vital that IEDC play a role in positioning economic developers to themselves take a stand against systematic and institutionalized racism and to promote equity in their own organizations and communities. Economic developers play a critical role in our communities, and can affect change through economic opportunity and transformation - like fostering the success of minority small businesses and supporting a talent pipeline that helps African Americans advance within their career paths.

This resources page is created to provide economic developers with tools to successfully play this critical role within communities across the country. Please feel free to email Chanell Hasty if there are any suggested resources you would like added to this page.
