With the planned retirement of its current President & CEO at the end of 2026, the Morgantown Area Partnership is seeking an accomplished, collaborative executive to serve as its next President & Chief Executive Officer and lead efforts that advance economic, business and community development throughout Morgantown and Monongalia County, West Virginia.

As the Partnership's chief executive and public representative, the President & CEO will bring together business, government, education and community leaders around a unified vision for the region's continued growth and prosperity. Reporting to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, this leader will guide strategic planning, economic and community development initiatives, investor development, workforce efforts, public policy engagement, organizational operations and stakeholder relations.

The ideal candidate is a strategic and results-driven leader with the ability to build strong public/private partnerships, develop relationships across sectors and turn opportunities into measurable results. Successful candidates will bring substantial leadership experience in economic development, chamber leadership, regional development, workforce development, higher education partnerships or a related field, along with strong communication, financial management and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications
Candidates should demonstrate success in:
• Recruiting business investment and supporting job creation
• Building partnerships across the public and private sectors
• Working with local, state and federal government
• Board governance and organizational leadership
• Leading teams and managing organizational finances
• Investor relations, fundraising and resource development

A master's degree and professional credentials such as CEcD, CCE, IOM or comparable certifications are preferred.
