I entered the field of economic development through a path rich with diverse experiences and influential mentors. My journey began in the hospitality industry, where I spent many years with Hilton Hotels. This role, while primarily focused on hospitality services, provided me with a unique vantage point to observe and contribute to economic development initiatives.
My interest in economic development was further fueled by observing the dynamic involvement of several women in my community who were leading economic development organizations. These women not only served as role models but also became my mentors even before entering into this field. Their dedication and success in driving economic growth and community development inspired me to pursue a career where I could make a significant impact.
Driven by these experiences and mentorships, I embraced the opportunity to contribute to community enhancement and economic prosperity, which has always been a deep-seated interest. My favorite part is getting to know all the key stakeholder in my community on a deeper level. Working at the Village of Los Lunas, I get to hear from our elected officials, business leaders, and residents about their economic needs and vision for the community.

Los Lunas is a friendly, pro-development community located 25 minutes south from I-40 in Albuquerque, 15 minutes from the International Sunport and easily accessed off the major I-25 interstate that runs north and south through the state of New Mexico. Over the past 40 years, Los Lunas’ population increase makes us one of the fastest growing communities in New Mexico.

The preserve features several hiking and biking trails that cater to various skill levels, each providing breathtaking views of the Rio Grande Valley and the surrounding mountains. After a day spent outdoors, there’s no better way to refuel than with a meal at Teofilo’s Restaurante. Located in the heart of Los Lunas, Teofilo’s is a local favorite renowned for its authentic New Mexican cuisine.
