New IEDC Training Manuals – Now Available!

IEDC's Professional Development team is continuing to adapt its products and services to align with the latest concepts and practices in the economic development field. We are proud to announce the release of new editions of the IEDC training manuals.

The manuals include new case studies, resources, and strategies to better support today’s economic development professional. The manuals also now have a chapter dedicated to IEDC’s Guiding Principle of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access (DEIA).

NOTE: The 2021 editions of the Introduction to Entrepreneurship-Led Economic Development (ELED I) and Accelerating Growth Through Entrepreneurship-Led Economic Development (ELED II) training manuals remain unchanged currently. 

Alignment of New Manuals with Training Courses 

Beginning with the July 11-12 Business Retention and Expansion training course, IEDC instructors will use refreshed PowerPoint presentations, and attendees will receive materials aligning with the new editions of the manuals. 

Impact of Updated Manual Editions on CEcD and EDP Exams 

IEDC's Professional Development team is also excited to share that the Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) and Entrepreneurship Development Professional (EDP) exams will be revised to align with the updated editions of the manuals.

If you wish to have a physical copy of the updated manual, then you must pay a fee to have it printed and shipped by our vendor. The IEDC team will share the estimated cost of shipping once we confirm your address.
