Bruce Takefman
Bruce Takefman, founder and CEO of ResearchFDI, leads a seasoned and enthusiastic team that provides economic development consulting support to some of the world’s most prominent EDOs. Since establishing the firm in 2010, Bruce has guided its growth into a multinational organization with offices around the globe and headquarters in Montréal, Québec. Bruce understands international markets, having worked with clients across the United States, Canada, Europe, South America, and Asia, enabling him to help regions maximize their potential to seize global investment opportunities
Bruce earned his Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Marketing, from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University in Montréal, Québec. He is a proud and long-standing member of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), where he has served on the International Advisory Committee and now serves on the IEDC Board of Directors. His commitment to advancing the profession is further reflected in the development of ResearchFDI Academy and the FDIP certification program, initiatives created to support learning, professional development, and next-generation leadership in the field.
Bruce’s experience spans a wide range of industries including biotech and agriculture, aerospace and aviation, IT, financial services, medical technology, advanced manufacturing, and renewable energy. His international work and strong professional network have contributed to millions of dollars in new investment opportunities for communities around the world. Additionally, Bruce possesses an extensive knowledge of trade shows, having helped prepare clients to attend some of the world’s most prestigious events. He leads his company on the principles of diversity and inclusion, proudly managing a multicultural firm with over a dozen nationalities and more than 50 years of combined experience in business development.
