Mr. Don A. Holbrook, CEcD

Don Holbrook is a native of Dayton, Ohio. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Economic Planning Geography from Wright State University. His Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Technology Management is from the University of Phoenix. Holbrook is a Certified Economic Developer. Holbrook has over 15 years chief executive level experience in economic development. He served as executive director of the following: Wayne County IN EDC; Red Wing Port Authority of Red Wing, MN; Crookston Economic Development Authority, Crookston, MN; and the Progress Plus Economic Development Corporation of South St. Paul – Invergrow Heights, MN. Holbrook was regional Manager and National Subject Matter Expert, Community Economic Development for Verizon Communications of Tampa, FL, President and CEO of the Partnership of Economic Development Lake Havasu City, AZ. Holbrook’s industry sector experience includes his position as Vice President Business Development for SAS & Associates (Dayton, OH), and National Sales Manager/Strategic Accounts for Honeywell, Inc. Holbrook served on the board of the CUED from 1997 to 1999. He was president of MAEDC (Midwestern/Great Lakes States Professional Economic Development Association) in 1997 and served on the executive board for 4 years. Holbrook is a family man who also enjoys international travel, scuba diving and sports. His philanthropic activities have included literacy and the performing arts.
