VIEW ACADEMY

In this interactive course, participants will gain a thorough knowledge of business stages and how to provide support and financial resources addressed specifically to their needs The course will help participants develop a deep appreciation for the unique needs and challenges of minority and women-owned businesses, and the benefits of building ecosystems in communities of color. Participants will also learn to appreciate the role of legislators and policymakers, how storytelling can influence stakeholders, and a deeper understanding of rural cultures.

Course Highlights:

  • Overview of the types and stages of businesses, and how to serve their different needs
  • Evaluate when companies need funding, the types of funding, and where to find it
  • Assist entrepreneurs in creating sustainable growth, and preparing them for potential crises
  • Establishing entrepreneurial ecosystems in communities of color and understanding the reality of challenges faced by minority, women, and LGBTQ-owned companies.
  • Understanding the unique issues in developing entrepreneurs in rural areas
  • Learn how to communicate with decision-makers about the benefits of ELED
  • The art of storytelling and how to tell your story

Cancellation & No-Show Policy

Refunds less a $75 cancellation fee will be issued for all cancellations received in writing to fax: (202) 223-4745 or email: [email protected] at least 10 business days prior to the course - please allow 3-4 weeks. All registrations regardless of payment status are subject to the $75 cancellation fee. No refunds or credit transfers to a future course will be issued for cancellations received within 10 business days of the course. Telephone cancellations are not accepted. Attendee substitutions for a course may be made at any time prior to the course.

Group Discount

Organizations registering three (3) or more individuals for an IEDC course are eligible for a 10% discount off the applicable registration rate for each attendee. To take advantage of the discount, the course registrations should be submitted together using this course registration form. Materials

Each course attendee receives electronic materials, including an agenda, presentations, and training course manual prior to the course. 

Attendees receive a training manual as part of the course registration fee. Additionally, all manuals are available for purchase. To order any of IEDC's manuals, visit the IEDC store.
