The Workforce Development Certificate Program is a six-week, interactive experience designed for professionals who want to tackle one of today’s most urgent challenges - aligning workforce, education, and economic development to strengthen communities. Participants will gain practical strategies through expert-led sessions, exercises, and peer discussions to address talent gaps, support employers, and create pathways for inclusive growth. The program concludes with a final exam, and successful participants earn a recognized certificate and digital badge, along with continuing education credits toward CCE and CEcD certifications - credentials that highlight their leadership in driving economic prosperity. The program is a partnership with ACCE and IEDC.

This course is $750 for members and non-members. The registration deadline is October 8, 2025.

A registrant will receive an email from IEDC 2-4 business days prior to when the course is scheduled to occur. The email will include the following materials and further instructions to ensure the registrant is fully prepared for the course.
Note: IEDC will send a registrant an electronic certificate of completion after the course for their records.

Please read the following policies carefully prior to registering for the training course.
Materials
The materials provided by IEDC are intended for use only by the registrant of the training course. A registrant should not share the training course materials with anyone else.
A registrant found in violation of this policy will be removed from the training course immediately and will not receive a refund for it.
Payment
A registrant will not receive the materials for the training course until IEDC receives the full amount owed for their registration.
Substitution
A registrant is not allowed to substitute a colleague in their place for any IEDC training course.
Cancellation
A registrant that needs to cancel their participation in a training course must send an email to [email protected] at least (3) business days before the training course is scheduled to begin. The registrant will be required to choose (1) of the options listed below.
Option #1 / Transfer - IEDC will convert the registrant's paid training course fee to a full credit on their account. The registrant will then select another IEDC training course to attend within the same calendar year. IEDC will apply the registrant's full credit to the newly selected training course. The registrant will be responsible for any balance owed for the newly selected training course. The registrant will forfeit any monies paid to IEDC if they are unable to participate in the newly selected training course.
Option #2 / Refund - IEDC will provide a refund minus the cancellation fee noted below. The refund will be returned to the original form of payment by IEDC within 5-7 weeks.
Member = $130.00 fee
Non-Member = $130.00 fee
Student = $65.00 fee
No Show
A registrant is considered a “No Show” if they fail to send a cancellation email and/or do not attend the training course. A “No Show” registrant will forfeit any monies paid to IEDC for the training course.
