Community Partner Award

Description

This award honors a staff member of a community-based organization whose efforts—through leadership, financial support, local investments, or workforce development—have significantly advanced regional economic development, contributing to long-term growth and prosperity.

Eligibility

The nominee:

  • Must be a staff member of a community-based organization (e.g., university, community college, hospital, foundation, non-profit, etc.).
  • Should have at least 1 year of service in their current role within the organization.
  • Must have contributed to regional economic development through leadership, financial support, local investments, or workforce development.
  • Should have exhibited leadership in advancing the organization’s mission, particularly in fostering economic growth and community development.
  • Should have demonstrated a long-term commitment to improving the economic well-being of the region or community they serve.

Part II
Questions

 
  You must submit a response (250 words or less) for each question in order to complete the second part of the application.
  1. Can you provide an overview of your role within the community-based organization, including your key responsibilities and tenure?

  2. What specific efforts have you made (e.g., leadership, financial support, local investments, workforce development) to advance economic development in your community or region?

  3. How have you demonstrated leadership in your organization or community, particularly in advancing economic development goals?

  4. How have you worked with other organizations, businesses, or government entities to achieve shared economic development objectives?

  5. What measurable outcomes or successes have resulted from your work, such as economic growth, job creation, or improved community infrastructure?

  6. How has your work contributed to the long-term economic health and sustainability of the community or region you serve?


Part III
Letters of Recommendation

  You must submit 2 letters of recommendation as the third part of your application.
