Description

This award recognizes an exceptional individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, innovation, and impact in economic development over the past calendar year. The recipient exemplifies the highest standards of professional excellence, creativity, and dedication to the field.

Eligibility

The nominee:

  • Must be employed as an economic developer, economic development professional, or in a similar role within the public, private, or non-profit sectors.
  • Must primarily reflect contributions made during the immediately preceding calendar year.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional leadership in guiding initiatives, teams, or organizations toward economic development success.
  • Must show measurable results in economic development, such as job creation, investment attraction, infrastructure development, or community growth.
  • Must exemplify the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, and dedication to the field of economic development.
  • Must have implemented or championed creative and innovative strategies that significantly advanced economic development goals.

Part II
Questions

  
  You must submit a response (250 words or less) for each question in order to complete the second part of the application.

  1. What is your current position, what are your primary responsibilities, and which sector do you represent (public, private, or non-profit)? How does your role contribute to economic development?

  2. How have you demonstrated exceptional leadership over the past year? Highlight specific initiatives, decisions, or actions that drove successful economic development outcomes.

  3. What measurable results have you achieved in the past year, such as jobs created, investments secured, or infrastructure improvements? Include both quantitative and qualitative evidence where applicable.

  4. How have you introduced or championed creative and innovative strategies to address challenges or advance economic development goals? What made these strategies unique or effective?

  5. How do you uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethical conduct, and dedication to the field of economic development?

  6. In what ways has your work positively impacted the community, businesses, or stakeholders? Include compelling stories, testimonials, or outcomes that illustrate this impact.

  7. How do you plan to sustain or build upon your contributions to economic development next year?
