Jeffrey A. Finkle Organizational Leadership Award

Description

This award honors an individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, integrity, and a philanthropic spirit while leading the same economic development organization for multiple years. The recipient’s efforts must have driven significant positive impact in their community or region, advancing economic development, job creation, and other similar efforts.

Eligibility

The nominee:

  • Must have served in a leadership role within the same economic development organization for at least 15 years.
  • Must demonstrate outstanding leadership, integrity, and commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
  • Must have contributed to significant positive changes in the community or region, particularly in economic development, job creation, or related efforts.
  • Must exhibit a philanthropic spirit, with a focus on community service and ethical leadership.
  • Must show long-term dedication to the organization's goals, ensuring its growth and success over time.

  You must submit a response (250 words or less) for each question in order to complete the second part of the application.

  1. Can you summarize your leadership role(s) within the organization, including key milestones during your tenure of 15 years?

  2. How has your leadership shaped the direction and growth of your organization, and what positive outcomes have resulted for the community or region?

  3. How has your leadership reflected integrity and a philanthropic spirit? How have these qualities influenced your organization’s culture and mission?

  4. How has your leadership directly contributed to local economic development, job creation, or community initiatives? Can you include examples of successful projects?

  5. What significant challenge did you encounter during your tenure, and how did you demonstrate resilience and tenacity in overcoming it?

  6. What actions have you taken to ensure the long-term sustainability and success of your organization?

  7. What lasting impact do you believe your leadership has had on the organization and the community it serves?
