Economic Development Academy
Register for one of IEDC’s Virtual Economic Development Academies! An Academy includes two IEDC Training Courses and within four or five days, attendees can fulfill two of seven professional development requirements needed to sit for the Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) Exam. We are also offering an Academy to compliment our Entrepreneurial-Led Economic Developer (EDP) program. Attending an ELED Academy will fulfill two of the five professional development requirements needed to sit for the EDP exam. Recertification credits are also provided to CEcDs for attending any courses within an Academy.

February 21-24, 2023 – Economic Development Academy
This Economic Development Academy (EDA) meets the Entrepreneurship-led Economic Development certification requirements for the Introduction to Entrepreneurship-led Economic Development and Accelerating Growth through Entrepreneurship-led Economic Development courses. Courses can be taken separately by going to the individual course webpages to register.
May 16-19, 2023 - Economic Development Academy
This Economic Development Academy (EDA) meets the Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) certification requirements for the Economic Development Marketing & Attraction and Economic Development Strategic Planning courses. Courses can be taken separately by going to the individual courses to register.
June 27-30, 2023 - Economic Development Academy
This Economic Development Academy (EDA) meets the Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) certification requirements for the Technology-Led Economic Development and Workforce Development Strategies courses. Courses can be taken separately by going to the individual courses to register.
July 24-28, 2023 - Economic Development Academy
This Economic Development Academy (EDA) meets the Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) certification requirements for the Business Retention & Expansion and Economic Development Credit Analysis courses. Courses can be taken separately by going to the individual courses to register.
August 15-18, 2023 – Economic Development Academy
This Economic Development Academy (EDA) meets the Entrepreneurship-led Economic Development certification requirements for the Introduction to Entrepreneurship-led Economic Development and Accelerating Growth through Entrepreneurship-led Economic Development courses.
